Here are Some Ways to Avoid Bursting Pipers this Winter Season!

Water damage is inevitable at some point, but follow these tips to make it less likely in your home!

Whether you’re in Pikeville, Prestonsburg, Hindman, Inez, or Belfry –bursting pipes come hand-in-hand with this bitterly cold weather.  It’s never fun to come home to water damage steadily climbing the walls with your beloved items floating in your living room. We’re here to help and bring you tips on how to prevent those bursting pipes and potentially save you a ton in damages.

Follow these tips:

1. Leave a stream of water running, if the temps are going to be below freezing.
2. Open cupboards and doors in the kitchen and bathrooms, especially those on the ends of the house.
3. Shut off and drain water systems, if you’ll be gone from your house for several days at a time.
